mojo monday sketch

Here's a sketch from mojo monday

Used my painted butterfly, and gave it an asian card to perch on.

Black mulberry paper is the background for this card.

And some pretty handmade papers added for the strip at the bottom and circle

Last added the red fibers at the top of the card.

lunchtime sketch challenge

This sketch is from here

I used more of my painted penguins, they're so cute.

Added hinges to the one card and brads to the other for some interest.

When I did the first card it looked like the penguin on a globe, so I got my paper out and found some map paper, that I cut out the circle.

Added some fibers ,too.

run with patience

this is for the salt faith challenge on patience.
I painted a shell on my journal I'll be writing in on my pilgrimage in Spain.
The Camino de Santiago.
From the book'Come away my beloved'
it says: run with patience the course as I set it before thee.
If you click on that excerpt photo it will enlarge it, so it's easier to read the rest of the page.

This is an excerpt from the book "Come away my beloved" by. Frances J. Roberts

Run with patience. So as I'm walking in Spain I will also walk in patience the course God sets before me.

Belli challenge

The challenge for this week was using felt.

The felt in this card is the background pokadots.

I used tacky tape to adhere it to the CS.

The tag is mounted to CS a clip added with ribbons tied to the clip. On the tag I made french knots with embroidery floss. And finally ribbon tied to the card top.

technostamper challenge

This is using the lunchtime sketch.

I like how you cut the image into squares.

the penguin is a Liz's original painting.

I stamped the sentiment and then cut it into the circle which I then adhered to a circle tag.

The patterned paper is DCWV.

ATC CARD CREATION

Sorry if the link didn't work to that site.

I'll try again. Check here.
This card I made using the baby ATC .
Added the circles and yarn to the top of the card.

ATC CHALLENGE

This is a ATC -artistic trading card I made for a verveblog challenge.
Check out the site for a tutorial on making ATC's.
I stamped the baby and dots and then put french dots with embroidory floss and added ribbon to a clip.
A cool idea they said on the blog was you can then make a card from the ATC and they show you their creations.
My first attempt at making a ATC , so off to submit it.

Belli challenge

I had seen this idea on TV , so thought I'ld give it a try.

Started out with a file folder.

Made a hotdog fold with the folder.

Then scored at equal intervels to make acordian folds.

You'll have pockets that form to put tags or photos into.

You adorn the cover and all with paper, photos, yarn, punchouts,

glitter what ever is in your stach.

Chrissy's challenge was to use

envelopes, I just made my own with a file folder.

At the top of the pockets I cutout with a circle cutter.

Adding lace to cards

I like the lace added to the cards.

This lace I also got at the antique store. Sometimes you can find it in a pack, like this was a pack of six little lace doilies.

It adds such a danty look.
And I use glue dots to adhere it to the cardstock.

Lace

I used this gorgeous lace I purchased at a antique store. The single flowers are cut out of the same lace , and then used glue dots to adhere them to the oval cutout.

FREEDOM IS OUR SONG- ALLELUIA

We sang this song at church today. Freedom is our song- Alleluia . He calls us friends.

The altered book pages are from a book my sister made for my birthday gift this year. It has photos of family.

It makes me think of how my grandparents came from the old country and started new lives in america. And how the faith was handed down through the ages from our ancesters.
This post is for a challenge at The Salt Faith Blog.
The challenge is on Freedom in Christ.

Puzzle cards

The circles are for a challenge at chrissyd723.blogspot.com

I painted on the puzzle before I take the puzzle apart.

Also I made a pocket for the puzzle to be put in, and a paper matchbook to add a sentiment to.

The netting is sewn onto the cardstock to form the pocket. Then you slide the puzzle in from the top.
