one small change

Two more cards. The top card is fabric sown to the card and a smaller piece of fabric topstitched to it. Then I outlined that with 4 rows of stitches. The bottom card I used the embossed paper. added the brads to the image corners. The image is a stencil that I used the texture medium with. Added a ribbon to the card.

One small change in my studio, and what a difference. It's more inviting. Opened up the door view. Maybe that's what I like about it. Now I can sit on the futon and watch the birds outside without the desk blocking my view.

The oak leaf is cut out of felt and I attached it to the fabric with a blanket stitch.
The acorn is painted, I used texture medium for the cap of the acorn and then painted it.
I outlined the acorn with a black extra fine tip marker.

from a pillow to a card

I cut out for the card from the lace pillow top.
I did top0stitching around the area I was going to cut so it wouldn't ravel on my.
Sewed it to the card front , three rows of stitches to really secure it. Then used tacky tape to secure the ribbon around the edges.
Also wove ribbon on the edge of lace border and tied a bow.
