crochet, wool felt, ribbon, and a button

I crocheted the flower and clued a button to the center. The stem and leaf are cut from the wool felt I knitted.

Lavender made from tied ribbon pieces and glued to the stem.
This idea I saw in the paper crafts Sept. issue. It's fun doing different things to make the flowers.

This is such pretty fabric. I top stitched it to the card. It looks great with the border punch, too.

Embroidered butterfly and flowers

The butterfly is the satin stitch used in the body and edges of the wings.
The flowers I used the chain stitch to outline the petals and stem, and leaves.
All three cards I embroidered on fabric that I stitched to the card.

embroidery

I did some embroidered flowers and sewing to make these cards.
The top card I cut the flowers out of material. And zig-zagged them to the card.
The leaves are also cut from material. The stem is using the stem stitch in embroidery.

This is the chain stitch. And the bottom material panel is chain stitched to the card front.

The border punch is used on the card edge, and a contrasting material strip is glued to the card inside edge.
