geranium

These look so lovely in my flower pots during the summer. They're a favorite to plant for me. I plant the red geraniums for their rick color.

I used engine red to paint these cards.

pink impatients

This I used magenta to paint the flowers.

red impatients

engine red is the color I used in the red impatients

white impatients

the shade lover flower. Such lovely colors impatients have. I picked white, red, and pink to paint for these cards. When I walk in the neighborhood the impatients look so lovely in the yards.

petunia

I picked white petunias for this card because that's what I planted this year in my flower pots. So each day I look out my front window I see my white petunias.

carnation

I like the red card and white carnation contrast of this card. To get depth in the white carnation I added yellow citron to the wicker white.

marigold

for painting the marigold I picked the forest green paper to contrast the colors in the flower. The flower is painted using school bus yellow and engine red. I use Plaid folk art acrylic paints. The leaves are painted with grass green and yellow light.

Liz's Lovelies

pansies, sunflower, daisies,black-eyed susan, lily of the valley, and sweetpeas are in this photo of some of the greeting cards I painted.
The lily of the valley are special to me because our son Nathan was born in May and that's the May flower. And the sweetpea is my birth month flower.
