Lunchtime Sketch challenge #15

I made this card for the technostamper.blogspot.com sketch challenge.
It's an original Liz's painting-the lily of the valley-
I don't paint them often, but they worked well for this sketch.
The stamp set is from Sweet'NSassy stamps. this is the trust in the Lord set.
I used a ribbon for the center panel.
It's also a 8 1/2x 5 1/2 card size.

Mojo Monday Sketch Week 35

I picked a green card base. then added the layers of orange and yellow
To that the green shapes. Cut out balloons out of orange, yellow, and red.
Tied the floss to them, added some stitching to the panels and the sentiment panel.
Added stickles for confetti .
Tied the floss to the card edge.
This sketch is from Julee at Poeticartistry.blogspot.com
She has fun sketch challenges each week, check them out.

Fantastic Friday Masculine Card Challenge

These are for the Challenge at Korin's Inkydoodle.blogspot.com

These I did for Father's Day cards, or they could work for Birthday Cards.
On the golfer card I painted some trees for the background paper. Using a fan brush and pouncing on a corner of the brush to paint the trees. I like the blue and brown color combo.
The top card I stitched the star and the panel and edge of the card.
The center card added the silver star brads and coluzzle star cutouts.

Belli challenge # 14 Ribbons

This is the same card, just used a flash for a different shading of it.
The challenge is to use ribbons, I like Chrissy's challenges because they make me think outside the box.
Started with a ivory card base, then layered with a gold vellum panel, on top of that a vellum with the white swirls. Then put crossed the ribbon in the center vertically and horizontally, and layered the gold ribbon in the centers to made a cross. From the center point I layed the ribbons to resemble rays of light.
I stamped the verse on the gold vellum. Behind that is a vellum circle with a ivory circle.
And then the crystals for some shining lights.

Tulips

I painted these tulips using magenta and wicker white.
And then added the bling. Using the word window punch and added the crystals
Celebrating Springtime!
It feels so nice to walk in the spring air.

Mojo Monday week 34

This sketch at first I wasn't going to do.
Had no ideas what to use in the circle.
Then I had an idea. Using the verse stamp, and the crystals for light.
I think I would change the center strip colors now that it's done.
I like the mesh effect.

Fantastic Friday Challenge

This card is for Korin's fantastic friday challenge.

So I used the eyelets , yarn , and the crystal for the
lighthouse light.
Used the watercolor pencils to color in the lighthouse.
And some stickles waterfall color in the sea.
Added some more stickles to the photo corners.
And the 3 dots at the verse are stickle dots.

His presence in my life.

In life there will be storms. Jesus walks with us through them.
His presence.
I took a picture on a stormy day and a clear day. I punched them in squares then spaced them on the scrapbook page.
Sorry the photo isn't good , click on it to see it close up.

Mojo Monday week 33

For the sketch I chose a CTMH stamp.
I inked the edges with black ink.
For the background I used a glaze medium ,white, blue and a bit of yellow paint,
and applied them to cardstock with a sponge.
It gave it the look of sky.
For the dots, I punched the 3 holes so the background paper shows through.

Simple look, but I like simple.
The card is in the mail to a friend who like music, perfect.

Chrissy's emBELLIshment challenge

For the challenge Chrissy calls it UFO pick a un-finished project.
I needed to finish up my christmas album for 2007.
When family and friends send their photos with a Christmas card I scrapbook
them in a special album filled with family and friends . I hadn't finished up 2007
photos.

So this challenge got them done. What a good feeling to have them all done, and
then to look back and see how the children have grown.
I painted on some of the pages to go with the photo embellishments.
Some photos have the matting added, makes scraping simple and faster.
On the center page I added the star brads to go with the photo card design.
On the outer edges of that page I tacked down the fiber with the star brads.

Pillow Inspiration

VerveVisual.blogspot.com

has a challenge where you get inspiration from a pillow they have posted.

It was such fun to create this scrapbook page layout for the challenge.

I used HeroArts heart stamps to make the flower and buds.
Used white acrylic paint to stamp them.
Cut out of felt the leaf shapes. And then went wild with the silver Stickles sparkles.
Using to accent the flowers and leaves and making swirls with it.

A Belli Challenge

What a fun challenge this was.

Chrissy wants us to use scraps.

I had the blank card on my table of scraps, and this painted flower

with the stamped phrase-God is good- from SweetnSassy stamps.

Also there in the scraps, the gold scraps and the black scraps.

And bam you have a card.

It has a lot of layers,I just couldn't stop.
And I forgot the yellow mulberry paper scrap was on the table too.
That I put behind the flower panel.

The cut outs I mounted with 3-D dots.

The butterfly I added color with watercolor pencils and 3-D ruby paint
for the dots.
Black mulberry paper is mounted on the card face and behind the stamped image.

Guy card

This card would be great for the guys .

Instead of a golf stamp , I painted a branch in the lower right corner.

And stamped the Happy Birthday above that.

I needed to move away from painting flowers , so I painted some trees.
With the panel I sewed a zig-zag stitch on the edges.
The cardstock is Stampin' Up paper.
And there I have a great guys card.

belli challenge

This week's challenge Chrissy wants us to use embossing powder. I have some of that.

There isn't much I don't have in my stash though.

I embossed the golf cart with copper embossing powder.

All the card stock I won from Chrissy at her blog challenge. Give it a try, and your number may be drawn. Thanks again Chrissy for the paper. I put it to use with this week's challenge. It's SU cardstock.

mojo monday week 31

I had some left over scraps from the last golf card, so another golf card.

Both my husband and son golf so I'll be using them for sure.

The golfer stamp is A Muse Artstamps.
For the love I punched it using SU word window punch.
And put the black brads to attach it.
